HYLO® is a preservative-free and phosphate-free lubricating eye drop that contains sodium hyaluronate—the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the eye and other parts of the body.

Thanks to its special property, HYLO® forms a stable, long-lasting lubricating film on the eye surface to efficaciously support the natural process of healing.

HYLO® is now available in two different pack sizes: HYLO® mini – an additional starter pack size with 150 drops and has the same HYLO® technology advantages. Now, it is easier to start HYLO® therapy!

HYLO® is suitable for all ages, for pregnant women and during lactation.

HYLO® should be used according to the instructions given by your doctor, ophthalmologist, optometrist, optician or contact lens specialist.

Normally, you can instill one drop three times a day into each eye. If necessary, it can also be used more frequently. If you use HYLO® more frequently (e.g. more than 10 times per day), please consult your ophthalmologist or optometrist.

HYLO® is suitable for long-term treatment.

When should you not use HYLO®?

HYLO® should not be used if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients. As HYLO® is preservative free, it is well tolerated even when used over extended periods of time.

In very rare cases, hypersensitive reactions like burning or excessive tearing have been reported, which stopped immediately when the use of HYLO® was discontinued.

HYLO® relieves mild to moderate dry eye symptoms. If your eye doctor does not mind you wearing contact lenses in spite of these troubles, you may use HYLO® while you are wearing hard or soft contact lenses.

However, in these cases, there may be some smearing on the contact lenses that will disappear after blinking a few times.

What is the difference between HYLO® and HYLO® GEL?

HYLO® is intended for relief of mild to moderate dry eye symptoms, post-surgical use, and contact lens rewetting.

HYLO® GEL contains a higher concentration of Sodium Hyaluronate (twice as much as HYLO®), which makes it more viscous than HYLO®.

HYLO® GEL is suitable for patients with more severe dry eye symptoms who require strong relief, post-surgical use, and contact lens rewetting.
